The Scoop

A true Hybrid and a genuine medicinal strain, Mango OG’s roots are as authentic and inspiring as they come.

More About This Strain

Tasty, potent, and seriously rare – this flavorful strain was created by crossing the infamous Mango Haze, which takes 120 days to flower, with a vigorous SFV OG. Bringing today’s consumers one of the more exotic strains in the 420-world. A global star, Mango OG’s genetics were gathered from the four corners of the earth to create a tropical-inspired strain.

Originally cultivated by a pair of Colorado-based brothers whose father was undergoing chemotherapy for Cancer and experiencing horrific side effects. When none of the “medicine” (see: prescription pills) worked or eased his pain, the brothers took matters into their hands, crossing two potent strains — Mango Haze and SFV OG — into one medicinal glory bud. Their father’s symptoms not only subsided, but he eventually went into remission, all thanks to a strain of cannabis.

Taste: Mango OG is easily one of the better tasting flowers you will ever encounter with her sweet and sour, piney smoke. Inhaling a large cumulus cloud of Mango OG’s active terpenes and flavonoids, you can taste her citrus grapefruit mixture … qualities that resemble a sour diesel, but with a tad more tropical tang. Upon exhaling, you pick up notes of rotten mangos, lemon zest, and an underlying oaky flavor.

Scent: Opening her jar, she fills the room with a distinctive sandalwood and piney aroma that reminds one of a rain forest. After grinding her up the smells intensify and become much more diverse; think ripe pink grapefruit, with a sour, musty, petroleum scent that you can smell from a mile away.

Appearance: The Mango OG flower displays elongated and dense buds that resemble a diamond, at full maturation. Dusted in trichomes, her intoxicating flowers enjoy trippy colors with the underlying hues of yellow, lime green, and orange. Her distinctive pistils cover the Mango OG flower like spikes on a porcupine. Secreting THC-laced crystals from every calyx; Mango OG makes the connoisseur in you want to dissect her carefully with your favorite set of tweezers.

Texture: Sticky as a two-year-old with ice cream, this strain maintains a superglue like consistency that is extremely wasteful to break up by hand. After all, the point is to smoke the active compounds – not leave them on your fingers.
